Kuakata

Kuakata is a tourist town located in the southern part of Bangladesh in the Patuakhali district of Barisal division. Known as the “Daughter of the Sea,” Kuakata is one of the rare places in the world where you can witness both sunrise and sunset over the sea from the same spot. The beach is about 18 kilometers long and 3 kilometers wide. This makes it one of Bangladesh’s most scenic beaches, attracting tourists year-round.

Location

Kuakata is situated in Latachapli Union under Kalapara Upazila of the Patuakhali district. It is about 320 kilometers from Dhaka and 70 kilometers from Patuakhali Sadar. The beach is located about 18 kilometers south of Kalapara Upazila Sadar.

History

The name Kuakata comes from the Bengali word “Kua,” meaning well. It is said that the Arakanese refugees (Rakhine) who settled here after being expelled from Arakan (Myanmar) during the Mughal period dug wells to collect drinking water, which is how the area got its name, “Kuakata.” The Rakhine people still live in this region, preserving their traditional culture and heritage.

Culture

Kuakata is home to diverse communities, including Rakhine and other local ethnic groups. The Rakhine people celebrate various religious and cultural festivals, among which the ‘Maghi Purnima’ and ‘Rash Purnima’ festivals are most notable. During these festivals, devotees take holy baths in the sea and later participate in colorful fairs. Kuakata’s natural beauty, combined with its cultural diversity, attracts visitors from home and abroad throughout the year.

Investors who purchase one (1) room space or a minimum of eleven (11) shares of the hotel will be eligible to become a member of the Board of Directors.
The first twenty-five (25) qualified owners meeting this criterion will be invited to join the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors will be officially formed upon completion of the hotel’s construction.
Members of the Board will play a central role in managing and overseeing the overall operations of Tower Al Safa.
The Board of Directors will guide the strategic direction, financial management, and operational excellence of the hotel.
